LED Lighting Conversion

Crowley Maritime Corporation provides energy, logistics and maritime solutions for customers worldwide. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, Crowley recently installed a high-resolution security system throughout the warehouse of their Port Everglades facility in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Once in use, it was discovered that the existing 400 watt metal halide fixtures that were used throughout the facility weren’t properly illuminating all areas of the warehouse and as a result were creating blind spots on the surveillance footage.

“All too often, decisions are made based on first cost only. At Crowley Maritime Corporation, we include first cost as a component of our analysis, but life cycle cost is the true driver. Barron Lighting Group has continually demonstrated through their product and technical support teams, the reason why their products continue to outperform other well-known brands,” said Steve Kessler, Director of Global Facilities Engineering at Crowley Maritime Corporation.

The civic center management and the entire community are beyond thrilled” said Scott Schwartz, President of Hill Electric Supply.

Provident Music Distribution - Nashville, TN
Provident Warehouse
LED Highbay Conversion

Like many warehouses that have been expanded and modified over time, the Provident Music Distribution building was lit with a mix of older lighting technologies such as Metal Halide and T8 and T12 linear fluorescents. In addition to being inefficient and requiring signifigant maintenance, these older fixtures lacked any type of dimming or motion control capability.

“By making the change from our existing metal halide lighting to LED, we were able to re-lease our building as soon as the existing tenant moved out and received a $.15/sf premium on the lease rate.” says Randy Wolcott, President - Northstar Real Estate Advisors.
